Let us start the trip with a bang and begin exploring Russia by nice highway first!
Our first stop will be at the monument to Panfilov Division that honours the memory of the men that gave their lives defending Moscow against the advancing German Nazi troops in the cold winter of 1941-42.
We continue our way along the back roads to reach Yaropolets, where you get to see the first ever rural hydroelectric plant in Russia from the early 1900s – back in the day, even comrade Lenin admired the craft and dedication of the local peasants!
Later on you will notice that the vicinity still has the remains of the bygone glory of the Russian nobility estates of the 1700s and 1800s.
After lunch, we pay visit a fabulous monastery on the bank of the Volga encompassing some 500 years of Russian history – that you will witness with your own eyes in the architecture.
Our day trip finishes in a very nice cottage park hotel, that features a small zoo and a decent spa facility with a nice pool.
