Grozny – Mountain Saniba

We will drive along the roads of two regions, the Chechen and Ingush Republics. Along the road, which one of the locals restored with his bulldozer, we will cross a mountain pass on the top of which there is a rock called the Stone Arch. You will see the amazing rock formations, known by the locals as the "Petrified Army". We will also drive up to the famous watchtower complexes maintained by local clans for hundreds of years.

Our hotel for the night is located on the edge of the Karmadon Gorge, next to the Kolka glacier that melted 23 years ago.

Throughout today's route, we come across observation platforms with views of the most beautiful landscapes of the Main Caucasian Range. At each of these observation platforms, you will want to stop to take photos and simply enjoy the views. We will drive through the Republic of North Ossetia and by evening we will reach the neighboring republic - Kabardino-Balkaria, where we stay overnight on the shore of a mountain lake.

Day 4. Blue Lakes - Terskol (170 km)

Several dirt passes are on the agenda for today. The highest of them is located at an altitude of over 3,200 meters above sea level. Despite the fact that the length of today's route is not great, we will spend the whole day on the road, since several challenging patches await us.

We will spend the night at a ski resort at the foot of Mount Elbrus.
